Man I was bidding on these and had them with 1 min to go at $113 then they get sold for $282! Is that crazy or is 282 still a good deal? Especialy when you've go shipping to pay for also.

From what I've been able to find out is that getting them reconed is about 230 ea so that makes these about $370 ea plus the shipping and tax for the recone. I don't know but I start thinking 'go new' at that point. Or am I wrong? :banghead: :jawdrop:

Opps...didn't put a link!:banghead:

Blown 2245s seem to always go for too much on ebay. I bought a pair of new 2245s on eBay for $550 including shipping. That is about the cost of the recone kits alone.

Well, I would sell you brand new, in the box, 2242HPL's for $400 each. Current MSRP on them is $803 each.

Yeah it's hit and miss on ebay, some times you can pick up a good deal and other times it goes out the window. I did pick up a pair or 2202's, that are supposedly like new, for $175. No one else bid on them! Their due here on friday so I'll find out then, LOL!

Thank you Giskard, I wll take you up on your offer:cool: but I know my wife is gonna stick a fork in my neck, because I've been buying a lot of sound gear in the last month for my big screen surround system. But she loves me , so it's ok. :smthsail:

Let me know the details.:)

Maxwedge, I was bidding on those 2202s, but had a minor family emergency when the bid came up, they sure looked like fun.
FYI I bought a pair of 2245H for $300 after searching on Google. The spiders were a little saggy but had OC speaker refoamed and they work great. I too think the prices on ebay are kinda out of control on those. Boy are those 2245 good solid subwoofers for my home AV.

There were 2 sets of 2202's at the same time. The set I got no one else bid on. The other set had a few bids, may be yours? I don't know, the ones I got sound good.

They've been listed again, buy the same seller. More of the same or the same speakers?

For the AlNiCo-tropic there is a 2202A on now for $90 start bid, $125 BIN, and a second one available to the high bidder (aka "winner"). don't know anything about the seller, so the usual caveats apply.

I've been buying raw speakers on eBay with mixed results, misinformed packing being by far the worst aspect.
