I have inherited a set of JBL Studio Master L200 speakers. They are in good shape and were hardly used. What is their value? Is there a market for them?

I bought a pair for $100 last summer, and another forum member recently found some for $300. Those qualify as "Scores."

There are two pair on eBay now, one at $750 and another with BIN of $2199.99.

Neither has any bids.

The value is in the components, not the system, presently.

Parted out, they'll garner in the range of $1000, depending upon condition....

They are in good shape and were hardly used. What is their value? Is there a market for them?Your best bet is eBay. They typically go for around $1000 (pr). If the cabinets are really clean, you should sell them as a system. (Not parted out)... If a serious buyer decides he doesn't want the cabinets, you can agree to ship the drivers and networks only and then see if you can get another $50-$100 for the cabinets separately later. By today's standards, they are rather large and that does limit their appeal as well as make shipping them a bit problematic, but they are bought and sold on eBay every month.

PLEASE DO NOT PART THEM OUT. A nice working set is worth saving or selling as is. Especially if they are sequentially numbered. Get some high end Solid State gear to run them with and you will be rocking!

Just to calm you out Superbee -- I've made a deal with my 15 year old son (whom I've infected with vintage audio) that my L200s are never be sold or parted out. They go to him first, and then are continually given to only someone in our family who agrees to that proviso (in blood).

We've got a bunch of music lovers and musicians in our family so I think they'll stay together a long time.
