If you go equip. shopping in Tokyo or Hong Kong , the thing that really overwhelmes you is the amount of products produced that are never exported to the US. They keep a lot of the cool stuff to sell locally.

Heck, you can get some small production scotch whiskies in the far east that aren't available in the US too...

(BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW THE VALUE AND COULD NOT FIND EVEN ONE OTHER PAIR FOR SALE, I AM BEGINNING THE BIDDING LOW AND HAVE A MODEST RESERVE..) if thats the case why not start at 20.00? and a reserve of a 150.00? REGARDS JIM3860

Maybe because they're barrels, he thinks they're like vintage wine that's gotten better with age.

What gets me are the ads that loudly proclaim "NO RESERVE" and then have a starting price something like $500. Maybe it's not "technically" a reserve, but still...

No shocker there -

27 negative feedbacks. I dont care how many feedbacks total you have - there must be something wrong with you if you have that many negatives.

I remember those speakers. A guy traded a set in back in the 70s when I worked as a bench tech at a local stereo shop while in engineering school. He got them overseas while 'touring' Vietnam, as I recall.

They sounded pretty much like they look - in a barrel. By now, I would suspect those speakers will need some work, too.

With auctions like this, it just reconfirms that PT Barnum was right all along.....

Cheers,

David

I think if the % is still pretty low, and the neg. remarks we not all very recent.... may be worth a chance....

I am talking about sellers with thousands of feedback comments left....

sometimes a good ebayer has some bad runs with not so nice folks...

I ditched a very well regarded ebay Identity because of a jerkoff who slammed me when I made a neutral comment on the quality of goods he sold me....
