I am fixing to put whats most likely the finest Pioneer SX-850 receiver on eBay that has ever been put up before. This guy is virtually perfect period, a gorgeous 65wpc classic receiver that really should be in a museum, it is that good. Cost new 550.00 my price will be 550.00. . .Its that good.
I will post pics on this forum if anyone cares to look at them when I shoot it tomorrow or the next day.

I finally decided to blow it out for 429.99. . .Still good money for a 850 but a hell of a 850 for sure.

Hey, Guy... HNY...
I think that is a pretty fair price. Top-end receivers have a limited market, these days. Unless you're really into vintage and integrated gear, the nostalgia might evade the valuation.
So, I don't think you've said: where you guys off to, anyway?

bo,
429.99 is a fair price indeed. . .I think I paid the most ever paid, on eBay, for a 850 at 450.00 then I sold it for 650 less than one hour later. A typical mint 850 brings around 200.00. . .These two were unique and truly one of a kind. I have seen this series receiver triple in price over the past year. I still have one in this condition put away for next year. . .I hope it pulls around 650 then. . . .You are right however. . .There is only so far you can go with this equipment. But these old Pioneers are gorgeous and never to be seen again. . . .My other favorite is the 120wpc SX-1050 next to the TOTL SX-1250 that IMO is a outragious, heavy, too big, but also a gorgeous old war wagon.
