Oh be still my beating heart! Love the Hytron 5514 outputs; really heinous. Those Chatham 5R4 rectifiers in the power supply are cool too.

I don't follow the amp market much, but think that the seller was wonderfully optimistic to think he'd get $7,500 for these. It may be a case where he is testing the waters; maybe they will reappear at lower prices until they sell. Ballantyne was a relatively small and little known supplier of theatre gear, and there is no cachet attached to the brand with current collectoirs. Also the transformers on these amps look generic and would not attract attention like Peerless or UTC trannies would. They may be great amps, but I would be surprised to see them bring more than $2k or so.
