Another fraud on Ebay, Audiobeer. This time, the rightful owner of the Ebay account managed to put a disclaimer in the description text that it wasn't his auction and a third party was able to list it under his name. He said Ebay had been notified and he was waiting for the auction to be delisted.

UPDATE: Ebay pulled the listing. CASE CLOSED!!

:D

eBay is going to have to really tighten up their security or they face the risk, on the long run, of disappearing.

What they really should do is ENFORCE a new password protocol.

Currently someone can have a SINGLE DIGIT password if they have been on for a long time. Easy to guess or what?

Ever notice that the hijacked accounts are over 2 years old?

They should make everyone rotate passwords in 6 month intervals....

And not allow ANY new postings without GOOD verification if the email address has been changed in the last 72 hours.

It's simple security BUT we know how ebay likes to give even the bad guys 245 chances.....:)

And besides, they need their fees to have dancing commercials on TV

Well they actualy didn't spend that much money on the actors but the point is well taken. They spent a fortune on the time slots. Don't you wish you could have bought some stocks when they were first offered? The actors are so lame that it actualy works for them. You have to admit this is capitolism at it's best. The honest truth is that Ebay is in it for Ebay. That's refected in any issue you try to ask them to respond to......good luck. Try to find a way to contact Ebay if you a novice, it's like pulling teeth. Selling or buying on Ebay is a real crapshoot now days, but if you got something everyone wants it's the best place to sell.
