Hello everyone:
First of all, please forgive me for my poor English. I have a chance of buying an Altec A5 system from a friend. After inspecting the system, I noticed that he made several reinforcement to the cabinet by placing wooded stock (?) inside the cabinet. He said that it was done to reduce the vibration from the cabinet and to improve the sound quality of the speaker. Is this the right thing to do? Do you think it will improve the sound quality of this speaker or degrades it? Is this the common practice to reinforce the cabinet of the "voice of the theatre" speaker? Your input will be much appreciated.
Thanks
