I have just recently acquired a pair of 210 cabinets and 511B horns (no drivers). Now my space is certainly not a large-scale theater, but I intend on keeping these components as I got a great deal on both ($106 for the horns and $100 for the 210s including shipping). I would like to know what the best modification to the cabinets would be for my room which is about 25'X21.'

I've learned about the Jim Dickinson cut for the lower part, but have also noticed Roland's post regarding the cabinets being cut to 5.5' with a modified bass port. I'm open to about anything at this point since it will be some time until I will have drivers for this set up.

Also, I have noticed that the 210s don't have any insulation inside other than immediately above the woofers to keep sound channeled out to the ports. It seems logical to increase the density of the above portion of the cabinet, so more of the sound will find it's way out of the port instead of being absorbed by the foam.

Thank you for any help you can provide on this.
