On eBay, but I don't recall seeing these in the U.S. - 'any idea what they are? They look like a killer little system for small bands, etc.: http://cgi.ebay.com/JBL-Speaker-Cabinets-10-1-Pair-NO-RESERVE_W0QQitemZ110056527899QQihZ001QQcategoryZ23 794QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I would add a 15" or 18" under the 2123 for a killer 3-way system.

Too bad they are across the pond from me......

Looks homebrew!I don't know - you can see the JBL logo painter over on the black metal grille, and the bottom of the cabinets looks similar to another rare JBL that uses a 12 and modified 2344.

Looking at the JBL link above, notice the 2342 horn has been modified to include two ports for the 2123. Very interesting...

Hi John.

I dont know what you intend to do with the speakers, but the 2123H is a very very nice unit.
i use one with a LE104, 077 and a 18" 2243H. I tell you, it sounds great, so go for the thing. 250USD you can pay for the 2123H without concerns, no matter if it came from China :)

I think ports look interesting... a clever use of space.

10-1 odds that Zilch attempts to acquire a pair of these horns...:D

Check this one out too: Same thing only bigger. 2020H 12" mid and a 2344 horn modded with ports using a 2426 driver.

http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=4534&highlight=4716aHi Don. Those weren't the same ones I was thinking of. They were from a regular member here in the US and I was in touch with him via PM's. I'd have to dig out my old archived messages to find out who...

Wasn't me but I remember looking at those in the past and thinking they've definitely got a place in the scheme of things; kinda cool. There's some thread on here that covered them pretty well, I think.

I just bought a pair of these JBL I750P Soundpower speakers. Very lightly used. I primarily bought them for the 2123 drivers, to have a spare pair for my active E-145/2123/2344/2420 setup. But I'm trying them now as regular speakers. They sure need to be near a rear wall as the "in room bass" is very light and boomy. The balance almost up against a wall is better, but the 2123 were never made to be bass speakers and you can hear that :-) But the balance is ok this way.

They were manufactured in Denmark and have a very nice speakon connector plate (all metal), and a nice enough crossover it seems. Much better than some other installation JBL speakers I have seen. They sometime don't even use a woofer crossover, but these do. It looks like 2nd order for both low and high with a simple compensation for the top end.

I hate the speakon connectors though. They cost 15$ each and there seems to be no standard whatsover, so you need the tech doc and verify with resistance measurements which of the 8 connections is + and - as the speaker back is not clear which of the connections is used. It uses 2+ and 2-. No foolproof system this!
