19 clones vs new speakers

:banghead: I finished my other pair of speakers tonight and have been listening to them for about 1/2 hour. My 19's have 811B horns, 802-8g HF drivers and 416-8b woofs rebuilt 19 xo's.

the new have 515b woofs, 511b horns, 902-8b hf changed out to 8a and N8500-8a xo.

The new ones sound NOTICEABLY better. I don't know if I screwed up rebuilding my 19 xo's or not, I don't believe I did. I didn't think there would be that much of a difference. Pics tomorrow, it's late.:dont-know

The 515B is more efficient than the 416, although it doesnt go as deep as the 416, it will give you a fuller sounding low mid/midbass. And the 511B horns arent nasal sounding, like the 811,s can be!

Very dynamic sounding too. I love very high efficiency devices.

I love Altec.
