the only reason im asking is cause im going to have them refoamed and i dont remember which woofer goes in what box. does it matter? the funny thing is that the crossovers look slightly different. there both l110 crossovers but looking in the cabinet the top left corner on one crossover has a big round thing and the other crossover has a big rectangle thing. this is why i want to know if the slightly different woofers go to slightly different crossovers. any help would be exellent. you guys are great. do you like my technical jargon?

LE111A has alnico magnet, LE111H has ferrite.

Here's the fun part: It's the L110A that gets the LE111H drivers.

From the schematics, it looks like the round thingies may be the air-core inductors of L110. :D

As you suspect, the crossovers are different....

i was afraid of that. both cabinets are l110 consecutive sreial numbers. both crossovers stamped n110 on a round cylinder even though one part is shaped differently. seems someone replaced a woofer with a le111h. i guess i'll keep an eye out for another le111a or just buy a pair already to go. ive never seen a pair of jbl l110a's online i asume they look exactaly the same as the l110's. thanks for the tech sheet.

It likely doesn't much matter....

It likely doesn't much matter....

- They certainly SIM differently from each other . ;)

- The older le111a coil ( in the alnico ) has a higher BL figure ( and a lower Qts ).

- I'd like to recone some le10h(-1) cores with le111a kits sometime in the future ( just need the money, don't ya know:D ).

correction, these have been down at a shop for some time and i just got them back today not refoamed. i see both frame/baskets say le111a but the back of one cone says le111h. so i have a le111h cone in a le111a frame. i hope that doesn't matter too much. i'm now on the hunt again for a refoamer. i think i'll look for the repair forum. thanks again

i must be going daft. i cannot find the h anymore. both frames are le111a and both cones are le111. go figure. sorry for my confusion.

You have a pair of L110's my friend. The L110A's have the LE111H woofers and the N110A crossover networks. There is nothing external on the cabinets to tell you the difference between the two models. Your L110's are rated for 75 watts rms each.
