While working on a 4430 crossover mod last night I ran acroos the following:

The network components that deal with the crossover point from 2235 to 2426 in the 4430 are significantly different than those dealing with the crossover point from 2234 to 2426 in 4435.
So differ the voltage drives.

If you run them active there's only one active crossover card for 4430 and 4435.

How can this work?

you can adjust the bass level independently to align w/ mid drive... believe hi-pass
section was changed in 4435 to match higher bass-section efficiency. -grumpy

I think this was discussed in a thread somewhere, sorry I dont recall the fine details. It may pay to do a search.

Hi there,
I just bought JBL 4430 yesterday, after having had S3100 and S2600. Where can I get the schematics for the 4430 x-over?
