I just scored a nice set of JBL L55's and I would like to put them back in as good a shape as possible. Any suggestions would be great.

The first issue is the foam under the glass has deteriorated and I would like to clean it all out. Any ideas or is there a better route to go?

The second issue is the grille cloth is shot and I would love to replace it with something bright like a blue or an orange. I wonder what colors were offered on these?

The third is the dust cap on one of the woofers is slightly pushed in. Can I take a vacuum cleaner to pull it or is there a better idea?

As always a million thanks in advance.

These came in Coffee, Mandarin and Indigo and, if I'm not mistaken,
are Jubals with the S12 installed..

That "foam" under the glass (like in the L300) can get nasty...why not
try a black piece of felt cut to size.

A good quality double-knit stretch fabric works well for the grilles.

Good luck and post some pics

Black "board" from picture framers has been found to be a good substitute for the foam/felt.
