The front grill pegs on my L166s are damaged – one is all gone and others are half (se picture).

How do I remove them with out damaging the wood/surrounds? And who sells new ones?

I think the same type was used for a lot of different JBLs, so it should be possible to get original ones – or at least identical pegs.

A seller on eBay frequently lists them, along with an extraction tool....

You can easily get replacements. Not the same, but they work ok. I would use a drill with a little smaller bit to remove them.

As for the removal, you can always drill a pilot hole and use a wood screw to perform the extraction, or you can purchase this guys tool.

He has the pegs for you as well.

You're right. The ones I pulled out on the L166 has the same diameter all over (both the part thats sits in the front and the part that stick out).
