Hi, I was wondering if I wanted to use the 5234 with the 4350a's would that mean not using the 3107? from what I can gather it had different low pass points? wonder what it would take to change a card to the 250 I need for the 4350s? has anyone seen a technical manual for the 5234? looked on ebay but hav'ent seen it. hmm?

Hello Nancyj

The 4350's were desiged to be biamped using the 5234/35 crossovers. The internal 3107 crossover is just for the the transitions between the upper 3 drivers. There is no passive crossover to handle the lowest crossover point beween the 2 15"s and 12" midrange. You need both the 5234 and the 3107.

Thanks Zlich and Rob.

Rob.. I thought something was amist with them, shitz a guy had a 5234 with the 1200 12db shoot, should of nabbed it.thanks for telling me, i won't crank them until i get some protection in there. on one cab the 12 inch was reconed but the other is not. I think I might have him do that one too. he has oem JBL. interesting the 2231A's seem to roll of naturally pretty well amazing for a 15 inch driver. The more i listen the less i want to sell them, since the furniture guy refinished them they look 1000 times better. trying to figure out if from my bed to where they are if its the min. 8ft that it says in the manual as required min. listening distance. :bouncy:

Zlich , I am going to read thur the links and see what I can do. i wonder if not tacky, but workable to try and use the berringer. Then on the other hand i could build an 18db 250 for the woofer to the mid?

Guys look how beautiful they look?

i wonder if not tacky, but workable to try and use the berringer. Don't insult those speakers. Hell, the dog might even turn on you if you use one of them... :p

I think the point is the Berringer is not worthy of being used on the JBL 4350s.
I've read some of the folks in this forum calling the berringers "Noisy" -
it'd be a shame to use a noisy stage in an otherwise superb audio system!

Let me take & get you a picture first... (as I said, it's not a museum piece)
It will need a new power cord to be safe, but I'm
thinking postage + a donation to the site if you end up having a need for it.

not as bad as I thought. Powers up... was claimed to be in working cond.
(bought it for the cards that -used- to be in it). Mount it in a rack and the
scars will be hidden :)
