AR3 convert to subwoofer - feasable ??

have 1 old AR3 sitting around with dead mid. Was wondering about converting it to a subwoofer. Thought of shortening the cabinet. retain crossover, just remove mid and hf. Hadnt decided to shoot up or down.

The AR1 12in woofer was rated to 25hz. Does this sound practible ????

wouldn't suprise me a bit if it worked pretty well but not in a Lansing system. You start out too many db down at the start but with something that wasn't loud. They probably lied a bit about the specs but when the 1W came out there was nothing else like it.
