Recently won the bid on Ebay for a pair of speaker wall mount brackets #290027827254. I checked JBL Pro and the mounts resemble the JBL-MTC-51 (black). Wondering what weight they are rated for? Some months ago I also won a pair of super heavy wall mount brackets that resemble another JBL wall mount. The JBL Pro site didn't seem to have much info on wall/ceiling mounts unless I missed something. I need 5 heavy duty wall or ceiling mounts for my 4301B and prefer to stick with JBL if possible. Peavey and Omnimount make comparable heavy duty wall/ceiling mounts and like JBL can be a bit pricey new $100++ each.

Rely upon the equivalent Omni-Mount ratings, measuring the ball size.

The JBL brackets say "Omni-Mount" on them.

I can't find the instructions OR the brochures here, of course.... :banghead:

Zilch thanks for the suggestion re measuring the ball size. The seller said they were used for 4311 in a studio. They look identical to the Omnimounts and when I checked the Omnimounts come in three models, 30 lbs, 60 lbs and 100 lbs. The Peavey Versamounts were at least a 60 lb rateing. I'll have to check my first set of mounts that look like JBL from the hardware, they have to be an easy 60 lbs. I found JBL Pro info before but now I can't find it.

57Belaire the pictured Omnimount looks identical to the JBL wall mounts I won on Ebay, they should be here any day. Seeing that both JBL and Omnimount appear to be the same for all practical purposes between the two I should be able to find enough of them to install my 4301b surround speakers.

The two black JBL wall brackets I won on ebay arrived the other day and low and behold they are marked Omnimount. Also won a single Omnimount 60.0 so I'm up to three and only need two more. 57Belaire they are the same as those in the picture you posted. Rated for 60 lbs they should have no problem supporting my 4301b.
