Cleaning Old glue off L100 Baffle Screens

Anyone have a good remedy, chemical, mechanical or otherwise, that will take the ancient glue off the screens on the L100 baffles without damaging them? Or should I just plan on replacing the screens with modern day materials? Looking at prepping them for the day when sonofagun is caught up...

I could NOT get if off here, and finally decided to simply replace the material with window screen mesh as part of the "rebuild" process.

Not sure what the mesh is made of and wether it would like a hair dryer....
