Hi

I just wanted to pop in and let any Woofer Tester users know that we have started a new forum for that product, and some new products we have 'in the pipe'. I am also looking for a few testers to get some feedback on the next code release. Here is a short list of new features you might find useful.

http://www.woofertester.com/forums

Cms compression -vs- drive level
Though the WT's full amplitude current drive is small this effect is quite measurable. The new WT-Pro box (come to the forum for info and discussion) will include a high power test port allowing you to extend the range of all tests.

Improved Test leading to Improved Simulation
Rem/Xem testing has now been expanded to include the TS simulator.

Automagic Box Fitting
No more guessing what are Fsb, Fm, Ha and Alpha? A function has been added to the TS simulator that will automagicaly 'fit' the vented box test data to the simulator. What you get is an effective box size, tuning and Qloss. You then simply turn on the speaker, driver or port simulation to see what the output should be. If you overlay the response with measurements made using the Speaker Tester or WT-Pro (also in the works), things should line up.

New overlay features, editors and more

If you want to give this new code a spin, send me a private email (include your real name).

Best regards

PS: Since I happen to be in the Boston area maybe someone in my vicinity might want a sneak peak of the ST or WT-Pro?

Hi,

I just wanted to let the forum members who have the WT2 know that we have just upgraded our home page. A lot of changes and new stuff is on the way. Its probably best to simply start at the main page.

FWIW, here is a link showing how to use the WT2 to find the actual alignment of a finished system. The in-air response plot was made using the WT-Pro that we will be offering soon.
