I picked up, (stole ;) ), one of these amps in almost mint condition today - 440watts/ch at 8 ohms: http://www.jblpro.com/pages/electronics/mpaamps.htm

'Anyone have any experience with them? I'm thinking of running the 4430's with it, using an Adcom GFP-710 preamp. ('Stll looking for a decent CD player - 'any relatively inexpensive recommendations?).

Thanks for any info - I won't get a chance to try it out until this weekend at the soonest.

I have two of them. They are basically top of the line QSCs from the late '90s. I use them to run my Sub 1500s... like the combo a lot.

If you decide to part with it let me know.
