I recently purchased 2 2426-J drivers from LE15 Thumper (Thanks alot, they are really nice).

When I installed them and pulled out my pair of 2425-Js I opened them to check the aluminum diaphrams and all was well, except the foam has deteriorated. Can these pads be purchased or does any one have an idea as to what to use? I want to use these on my Everest horns but I certainly don't want them to turn to mush and ruin a good set of OEM aluminum diaphrams.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Well I finally worded my search properly and answered my own question. Thanks for looking anyway...

Another option is felt pads from McMaster-Carr, if you're uneasy about foam. Self-adhesive discs come in various diameters and thicknesses there. JBL's early drivers used felt, and I've got some LE-85s with foam on top of felt, even.

It'd be interesting to compare for sonic differences....

Thanks, I have an account with them, I will try them too.

My ears don't seem to be good enough to pick up any but the most obvious differences. I will give it a shot and report back.
