My Father in-law has a pair of JBL C-55 enclosures and would like to put a pair of L-91's on them. The concern we have is that the Lenses will overlap the 2 woofers a little bit. Is that a problem? Also if we mount the Lenses to a baffle board and the board overlaps the woofers is that a problem? I have a picture of C-55 ( it doesn't show his tweeter but that not in question here) with the Lens location. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Attach all the stuff at the top of the cabinet.

I doubt it will matter.
What tweeter is he wanting to lens and why?

My guess was a 2420/2440 with horn+lens, but I might be wrong Zilch.

Try it out: Take the baffle board without the Tweeter and hold it to the desired place. Go to a appropriet distance and listen by comparison.
In any case i wouldn't destroy the original enclosure, what do you think about these solutions:

My father in-law is upgrading his JBL 275 driver with a H91 horn. He is replacing his current short throw horn with the H91 and wanted the L91 Lenses to go with them. He also has a JLB 075 tweeter not shown in picture.
