Check this out....
Just talked to a gentleman that owns a 4' wide woofer made by (gasp!)
Panasonic in the late 1950's. No, I don't mean the box is 4' wide....
THE WOOFER IS 4' WIDE. it has 8 magnets on it. Made by Panasonic for the two guys that started Radio Shack (???). It has an Aluminum frame and no, I'm not making this up.
Say What????????

I don't have a photo yet, but hope to get one soon.
Anyone ever heard of such a thing ?
The man owns 4 PAIRS OF KLIPSHORNS.......
And more rare JBL and Altec speakers and equipment than I can imagine.........
Some came from Yankee Stadium.
He's even got a pair of custom made Altec cabinets similar to a 211 but with 4 woofers in each box. NOT two 211's bolted together........ but with 4 15" woofers in each cabinet.
