Naw mate, that's not a sub... this is a sub! 128 cubic feet of pure sonic bliss. 110dB average sensitivity from 20 to 70Hz. at box exit, still 100dB at 15Hz. All from one li'l ol' Altec 515-16G. Note that the response plot extends to 10Hz.

Actually this was my first horn subwoofer project, built about four years ago. 15Hz. exponential flare front horn, 20 foot path, 16 cubic foot back chamber. The latest one is similar but reduced in size to a dainty 100 cubic feet or so.

I am a HUGE Altec fan. I imagine if Steve Schell invests that much time and effort, it's gotta be very musical, even at 16 hertz-so -good, yeah?

Just goes to show for true LF response, there's no substitue for cubic inches, or in this case "cubic ft"!:applaud:
