Anybody heard the new valve pre amp from McIntosh? Apparently it is not the same circuit as the 2200 and sounds different.
I'm going to get a new pre amp real soon and am not 100% sure which model will be best. Its a bit difficult to arrange an audition of both amps here in England because Macs are a bit rare and expensive in Europe!
(Im driving a pair of L150s with an MC252)

Yeah, I found the amps you mentioned, 1962, 1959 and 1963. In that order. I'll bet you drive a 50s 'Vette or a T-bird! - if you do I'd like to see a picture.
