i just thought i might take my l-36s off line and put on the l-96s ,but when i put one l-96 on one side and left one l-36 on the other side these observations were made: all drivers worked on both models, but the sound seemes to project more through the l-36. the hights on the l-36 seemed to be brighter, crisper ,the lows on the 36 seem to project and be bigger from the l-36 than the l96. as i say all the drivers are working, could the crossovers be in trouble. i was under the impression the l- 96s would be a bit stronger performer more so in these areas than the l36s ,but the reverse seems to be true on these. any ideas will be welcome. this is a grea site:applaud:. bill.

I would suspect that the L-36 is more sensitive than the 96, it may just be playing louder. JBL changed the method for measuring this sometime between these two models, so we can't compare by the specs. But do try to use the balance control and see what happens. Room acoustics may be playing a big part as well.
