Does anyone have a recomendation on what capacitor type, and where to locate, to use for a recap in my L100 late, and 4311wxa? they each seem to have the same if not similar crossover networks...

thanks....more ??? to come

I guess you could call them that.:D They have a simple first order high pass on the mid and tweeter. 8uF on the mid and 3uF on the tweeter. I would use inexpensive mylars if I were replacing them. You could buy Solens or AuriCaps, or all sorts of exotic foil and oil caps etc. I am sure you can find pages of testimonials about how the lowly L100 has become better than SOTA with this or that change... oh and don't forget to get the nine 9s silver wire that is wasabi infused.

I would go one step farther and design a true lowpass for the woofer but that is MHO. I don't like the sound of that series just because of all the phase interference with the midrange and the woofer. And the tweeters are not protected from abuse by a simple cap network, a second order is the minimum I would run.
