View Full Version : need jbl crossover advice!!!!!!!!

hi, i am going to build a custom jbl speaker. mid 2441 16 ohm with smith horn, low le15a 16 ohm and also 075 8ohm. i know lx5 and n7000 crossover should be used, but the price........... Any aftermarket crossover can be used? Perhaps anybody has the lx5 and n7000 crossover diagram or any custom crossover diagram i can build by myself? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

You won't have much luck building the LX5s without more info on the autoformer. You might try doing some searches here, but I don't recall anyone posting the particulars.

You could build a straight ahead second order butterworth highpass for 12 ohms if you want. I imagine you would be happy with that.

The professional version of LX5 is 3115, and N7000 is 3105, you'll find. They are less expensive to purchase than the vintage consumer models.

Consider 3110 for 800 Hz also.
