I am putting together another system for a friend of mine in LA. I scored these L-200s yesterday and over the weekend I am getting him a Mac 2105 and a C-26. Should be a sweet sounding rig. Here are some pics of the L-200s

Nice looking L-200's! Cabinets look great in the pictures. But then-wait a minute-what the heck are those tweeter looking things above the horn? Someone read a mechanics illustrated article on how to convert your 200's to 300's??

And are those foam surrounds on the woofers? ;)

The guy I bought them from installed a titanium tweeter years ago. But, it has a gain control mounted up front so you can turn it all the way down.

Yes, they have a nice sound. I have been blasting them with that crappy little Sansui tube receiver in the background.:bouncy:

A few slivers of walnut & some glue will bring your Paragon up to like new condition. ;)

This unit is serial number 110, Supposed to be the 10th one made so I wont be putting any glue or wood slivers on it anytime soon

Then mine is in better visual condition....A Paragon was made for the White House (Kennedy era) I wonder where it is stored. It will probubly have to be restored (woofers surround & caps in xover) .

If it was stored well you would just need to hook up a tube amp and fire it right back up, Like mine.

Can you just imagine putting the wood to Jackie while Martin Denny grooves over the JBL Paragon in the white house..........Perhaps thats just MY fantasy?

Just a thought....To extend the high frequency of the 075 tweeters from 15k to 20k....Just replace the vc/diaphram with 2405 voicecoils..You will have to change levels on N7000 to match sensitivity. Diaphrams are $100. from JBL. I changed the complete 075 with 2405 tweets . what a difference it made wow!!! Especially on SACD recordings.
