Can I assume an old 20mhz analog scope like a Tektronix 2205, or a 465 100hz would be fine for audio amplifier troubleshooting?

I don't know the first thing about scopes. Searching on eBay.

465 is way overkill and a beast, tho "standard."

I use 2215A 60 mHz, but I have it for use outside audio.

10 mHz is plenty.

Suggestion: call your local Tek repair center for a recommendation. You'll be bringing whatever you buy in for calibration.... ;)

I've got one you can have. It's a 465 I believe. It dosen't have any probes. It powers up and the coworker claims it works? I won't know till I get to work Wendsday.

I was just sitting down to ask if I did OK because I just bagged a BK 2120 on eBay. As I was also drooling over a 453, I may also be interested in a 465 as well. I have no probes, so that is my next quest.

The BK is in South Bend, so I am half way between the two scopes.

Thank you, Zilch, and thank you Audiobeer!
