I am going to look at a set. The guy claims these are JBL 4311 "WSA' series. What exactly does that mean and are they worth 6 bills?

TYIA!

'Ya mean "WX-A"? Like these: http://cgi.ebay.com/CLASSIC-JBL-4311WX-A-4311-SPEAKERS-STUDIO-MONITORS_W0QQitemZ9733023186QQcategoryZ50597QQrdZ1 QQcmdZViewItem

$600 seems pretty high.

4311 WX-A is 4311A's with Walnut exterior finish as opposed to black matte studio finish.

I certainly wouldn't give $600 for a pair of them. I have a pair in fair condition I'd sell in a heartbeat for half that amount!

Rudy, they would sell in a heartbeat (yours) for $300. :)
