Ar the 2450 SL diaphrams smooth with aquaplas? or embossed ribbed with aquaplas coating? Has a sweep frequency chart been plotted on these compared to standard 2450? Horonzak

Hi

Here's a link to a thread with a couple of pictures (http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?threadid=500&highlight=2450SL) worth looking at .

I've never seen a published response curve. I own 2 of these diaphragms. One is 3 years older than the other. The oldest has more HF response. The newest measures closer to a typical 2441 diaphragm. The closest response curve I've seen is that from the 2446 driver . (http://www.jblpro.com/pages/pub/components/2446.pdf)

It would be of interest to me to see sweep frequincy of 2450SL also charts on TAD 4001 & 4002. Too bad , no one seems to have a anechoic chamber & sweep frequency recorder handy. The close, est is 150 miles away in ST LOUIS. I dought if the new owners would give me time on it anyway.
