OK. whats the difference between the gray painted 2425"s and the black ones. Or is there any difference but color

Yes I have an older pair as well. I have no clue what the years are. Might be able to figure it out going through the catalogs.

these were only sold for one year - and if you look *under* the horn gasket, the whole snout/throat is removable for use with custom horn designs. This was the first JBL driver that had the phase plug accessable at the exit. I used one of these in a leslie cabinet ( with a phenolic dia ) for a client back then with good results.
