I noticed that the Synthesis Four system is the one that uses the Performance Series for the front speakers. But are rectangular boxes as apposed to the Performance that have chopped corners and are THX. The S4A surrounds look quite different, though.
I'd be interested in how that system sounds being the surrounds are so different from the mains.
I prefer having 5 speakers the same, as I have now, to get a perfect tonal match. But I could have my mind changed if I liked what I heard. And for $37k I should!
I just looked at the Performance Series and see that JBL has upped the system price from $6800 to more than $10k. And they have no dealers for these, at least not around here.
