This could be the "MOTHER" of all subs, size wise anyway. Wow, that thing is HUGE! Anyone have any experience with them? Certainly would need a BIG room! Oh, no affiliation etc.

I like his sub, but that one looks pretty rough, especially for the $ he is asking. Should sound fine, though. Thing is, whatever sub you use, you should have at least two, and two of these starts to really take up real estate.

I agree the price should be lower.

These are in Kentucky for anyone interested.

I have my 2242 and that is enough for me at the present time!

Oh, no affiliation etc. There is a local forum member who rarely posts that has a pair of them in a medium sized room... They aren't as good at the extremely low frequencies as many smaller subs, but they do extend lower than Klipschorns and they are pretty efficient

He bought his unfinished... I believe Dr. Edgar actually personally delivered them. They are pretty rough looking too..

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! But, your'e right, it is pretty ugly! Although, my wife thinks the 4430's are ugly. I think they are beautiful!

Dr. Edgar's Seismic Sub is a very good performer for sure. Its size is actually quite small in relation to its capabilities. Seems to me the seller's asking price is too high, though. Bruce sells new ones for less than this, at least in the plain Jane MDF version. Of course there is also the shipping cost to consider...
