I ordered some AudioCaps from SonicCraft. I later noticed that they are cheaper at PartsExpress, so I thought I’d do SonicCraft a favor and let them know about their competition’s pricing. My note was terse but I had no intention of either cancelling my order nor asking for a price reduction. Did they overreact?

Jim,

I will cancel your order.

Sonic Craft is not a discount house like PE. PE will also hold your hand so
to speak. Please read this while we are on the subject:
http://www.soniccraft.com/orders.htm

When you place your order with PE, please tell them that they should not
charge you a handling fee because Sonic Craft does not. Also let them know
that their Mills resistors are too high.

I am sure that your email below is your way of asking me to match pricing?
However, I must admit, it is the most offensive way anyone has ever done so
in my experience.

BTW, note that your price would have been $2.79 each:

Best regards,
Jeff

I don't know what to think about this place. I sent an email to ask a few questions and discovered they were having a sale on AudioCap PPT Theta's through the end of October. Now it appears they have been closed since yesterday so my questions won't get answered before the sale ends.

Kinda goofy...

:wtf:
is this guy doing?

Overreact? This is crazy:spchless:

Send this correspondence to his Boss. I sometimes do this as we live in a service desert here in Germany. I use to send it to the Director or even better find out the directors name before and send it personally to him.

I forgot about this old thread from a couple years ago...

I've since talked to Jeff on the phone a couple of times and take him to be the kind of guy who doesn't pussy foot around. I think he might have a different definition of overreacting. :p
