"Dual 10-inch 2251J-2 Aquaplas™-coated, pulp-cone woofers with 4" edge-wound voice coils and EPDM rubber surrounds, and utilizing Alnico magnets"
Just copied this off the Synthesis Atlas page from the Center Speaker. This a typo??? Alnico 10" woofer with a 4" coil ???? Wow if it's not. That must be some monster 10"

With a pair of those woofers.
Maximum Recommended Amplifier Power800 Watts (RMS)
Impedance8 Ohms
Sensitivity (2.83V @ 1m)93dB
Frequency Response (–6dB)55Hz – 50kHz (Anechoic)
22" x 25" x 9-1/2" (11" with horn)
The efficiency isn't amazing but I wish I could listen to a set!
They trade off box size for LF response and efficiency.
I love the idea of a box 9.5" deep for the fronts and center with flatscreen tv.
It appears they did not port these, any idea why?
The closest dealer is in New Jersey, perhaps I should make a pilgrimmage.

That reminds me, I need to make a correction in the Greg Timbers - DIY thread...
Anyway, here's an actual photo of the SK2-1000 I snapped real quick.

3-inch aluminum voice coil
This is the one I posted about before having the 10 gram mass ring combined with 10 grams of aquaplas.

A while back I wrote there weren't many 10" drivers that impressed me much, except possibly the Stage10, but the 2251J-2 is a fine, fine driver.
Porschecab from the East Bay has one of these (at least) along with a pair of K2 S9800s that one could purchase for the right price.

Yeah, as far as tens go I don't like it as well as the more versatile LE10H but - different intended applications coupled with the fact that the LE10 days are gone.
I'd certainly like to try it in place of a 2122H in that kind of application. It has alot more moving mass and alot more motor. Extremely nice midbass transducer.
