Hi , I'm new to the forum, and apologize for my post being one of asking questions. I have been into vintage gear for quite a while now and have aquired a pair of Santana II's that I have refoamed. They are in good shape with exception of some of the veneer on the edges. The question I have is what was the veneer used on the Santana II's? I have access to a local shop that sells all type of veneer. Thanks in advance

Hi.

If you're asking what species of wood was used I can tell you that it was walnut (American Black Walnut) on mine. I don't know if they ever used anything else. If you're going to patch/repair that's what you need. If you were considering reveneering the whole thing then you could select any wood species that suits your fancy.

Thanks.
