But for many reasons the JBL L300 Summit is an icon of not just the JBL product line, but the audio industry altogether. It is something akin to the 1957 Chevy in capturing the essence of an era. In the 1950’s and 1960’s, if you dreamed about a car, it likely was an early model Corvette or the 1957 Chevy Bel Air (probably the convertible!). In the 1970’s, if you dreamed about a set of speakers, it was this pair of JBL L300 Summits. The L300 Summit represents an era of historic greatness, when products that were “Made in America” meant that it was the most innovative design, the best quality materials and components, the absolute best construction and attention to detail, and the best performance possible. In 1975 JBL was at its zenith in terms of Quality Control, Engineering and Design Innovation, and these L300 Summits were State of the Art. Impeccably styled, superb cabinet construction, and absolutely phenomenal driver quality created what was then the astronomically priced statement speaker at $3,000 a pair in 1975 – 33 years ago!<br /><br />1 comment my hartsfield Resource id #5 Thu, 13 Sep 2012 15:27:43 -0600 <a href=";title=my-hartsfield&amp;cat=515"><img title="latest_pictures_073.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="latest_pictures_073.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: JUNGLECATGEORGE<br /><br />1 comment jbl tik ti6k speakers new paint Resource id #5 Sat, 11 Aug 2012 07:49:02 -0600 <a href=";title=jbl-tik-ti6k-speakers-new-paint&amp;cat=515"><img title="484624_270572836375891_1789298847_n.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="484624_270572836375891_1789298847_n.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lansing fan jbl tik ti6k speakers new paint Resource id #5 Sat, 11 Aug 2012 07:48:22 -0600 <a href=";title=jbl-tik-ti6k-speakers-new-paint&amp;cat=515"><img title="528496_270569639709544_1117444421_n.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="528496_270569639709544_1117444421_n.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lansing fan JBL TI-6K TIK sub Resource id #5 Mon, 19 Dec 2011 14:59:00 -0700 <a href=";title=jbl-ti-6k-tik-sub&amp;cat=515"><img title="PICT0052.JPG" border="0" src="" alt="PICT0052.JPG" /></a><br /><br />by: lansing fan<br /><br />Description: JBL TI-6K with TIK sub pp14 Resource id #5 Tue, 08 Nov 2011 23:26:06 -0700 <a href=";title=pp14&amp;cat=515"><img title="pp14.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="pp14.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lovejbl pp13 Resource id #5 Tue, 08 Nov 2011 23:25:47 -0700 <a href=";title=pp13&amp;cat=515"><img title="pp13.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="pp13.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lovejbl pp12 Resource id #5 Tue, 08 Nov 2011 23:25:24 -0700 <a href=";title=pp12&amp;cat=515"><img title="pp12.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="pp12.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lovejbl pp10 Resource id #5 Tue, 08 Nov 2011 23:25:02 -0700 <a href=";title=pp10&amp;cat=515"><img title="pp10.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="pp10.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lovejbl pp11 Resource id #5 Tue, 08 Nov 2011 23:24:40 -0700 <a href=";title=pp11&amp;cat=515"><img title="pp11.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="pp11.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lovejbl pp9 Resource id #5 Tue, 08 Nov 2011 23:24:14 -0700 <a href=";title=pp9&amp;cat=515"><img title="pp9.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="pp9.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lovejbl pp8 Resource id #5 Tue, 08 Nov 2011 23:23:54 -0700 <a href=";title=pp8&amp;cat=515"><img title="pp8.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="pp8.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lovejbl pp7 Resource id #5 Tue, 08 Nov 2011 23:23:32 -0700 <a href=";title=pp7&amp;cat=515"><img title="pp7.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="pp7.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lovejbl pp6 Resource id #5 Tue, 08 Nov 2011 23:23:11 -0700 <a href=";title=pp6&amp;cat=515"><img title="pp6.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="pp6.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lovejbl pp5 Resource id #5 Tue, 08 Nov 2011 23:22:52 -0700 <a href=";title=pp5&amp;cat=515"><img title="pp5.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="pp5.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lovejbl pp4 Resource id #5 Tue, 08 Nov 2011 23:21:53 -0700 <a href=";title=pp4&amp;cat=515"><img title="pp4.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="pp4.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lovejbl pp31 Resource id #5 Tue, 08 Nov 2011 23:20:30 -0700 <a href=";title=pp31&amp;cat=515"><img title="pp31.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="pp31.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lovejbl pp3 Resource id #5 Tue, 08 Nov 2011 23:19:38 -0700 <a href=";title=pp3&amp;cat=515"><img title="pp3.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="pp3.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lovejbl pp2 Resource id #5 Tue, 08 Nov 2011 23:19:03 -0700 <a href=";title=pp2&amp;cat=515"><img title="pp2.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="pp2.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lovejbl<br /><br />1 comment CUSTOM JBL WOODEN HORN SYSTEM Resource id #5 Tue, 08 Nov 2011 23:18:25 -0700 <a href=";title=custom-jbl-wooden-horn-system&amp;cat=515"><img title="pp1.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="pp1.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: lovejbl L300 I get from estate Resource id #5 Sat, 22 Oct 2011 14:32:09 -0600 <a href=";title=l300-i-get-from-estate&amp;cat=515"><img title="DSC01989.JPG" border="0" src="" alt="DSC01989.JPG" /></a><br /><br />by: Sepperl<br /><br />Description: The neede to be restored 001 Resource id #5 Fri, 19 Aug 2011 17:27:19 -0600 <a href=";title=001&amp;cat=515"><img title="001.JPG" border="0" src="" alt="001.JPG" /></a><br /><br />by: MMudge<br /><br />1 comment 002 Resource id #5 Fri, 19 Aug 2011 17:26:36 -0600 <a href=";title=002&amp;cat=515"><img title="002.JPG" border="0" src="" alt="002.JPG" /></a><br /><br />by: MMudge 003 Resource id #5 Fri, 19 Aug 2011 17:25:29 -0600 <a href=";title=003&amp;cat=515"><img title="003.JPG" border="0" src="" alt="003.JPG" /></a><br /><br />by: MMudge<br /><br />Description: Found these at a rummage sale and they were a wreck. Worked over the cabinets with a towel and steam iron, some fine steel wool and walnut scratch remover. The surrounds were trash so I ordered up a pair of surrounds from OCS in LA. Removing the grill was tedious but successful. These are pecular in that the cone material is different than later 33's. These feel like shark skin and do not have the plastic cap over the magenet. But LE8T is stamped on the backs of the cones. Oldest pair on the registry. The sound? freaking incredible! I cannot sell these speakers as they have been promised to my neighbor, Nelson Pass. Yeah...a little name dropping there but it's very cool! ;) Mike Big Horns Resource id #5 Sun, 14 Aug 2011 15:39:17 -0600 <a href=";title=big-horns&amp;cat=515"><img title="stereo1.jpg" border="0" src="" alt="stereo1.jpg" /></a><br /><br />by: dannyrumble<br /><br />Description: Do you think this guy has a buck or two in this speaker system ?
